Mike was an extraordinary classmate who was killed during his first semester sea year in 1971. When I chaired the 25th Anniversary reunion, I was informed by the Alumni office that Mike had been made a member of the Class of 1974. Ed Tweedy.

He was assigned to the Gulf Farmer from 1/22/1971 til 3/12/1971, then he was on the SS Delta Argentina starting 3/14/1971. It says he was admitted to St Elizabeth Hospital Beaumont (BMT?) TX on 5/14/1971 after a shipboard accident. He passed away on 5/23/1971
