  1. Alumni Chapter Presidents’ Award – presented to a graduate in recognition of unparalleled support to their local alumni chapter over a prolonged period of time.
  2. Alumnus of the Year Award -highest award bestowed by the USMMA Alumni And Foundation as an extraordinary honor for an individual who have over an extended period of time provided support of the Foundation, Academy, its midshipmen while exceeding leadership levels with the recipient’s selected profession.
  3. Captain Michael Walker ’69 Memorial Award – awarded to  a graduate of the United States Merchan Marine Academy who performs an act of heroism while discharging the duties of a merchant marine officer.
  4. Daniel E. Meehan ’51 Humanitarian Award -recognize and honor a graduate who has dedicated significant time and energy to charitable activities and organizations.
  5. Dedicated Service Award – ranks below the Distinguished Service Award to recognize Non-Alumni, faculty and staff, and individuals making contributions of time, talents and or treasures over a prolonged period of time.
  6. The Distinguished Service Award – recognizes any individual who has made a major contribution to the Academy, USMMA Alumni Association or maritime industry over a prolonged period of time.
  7. Golden Marine Award – recognize graduates who as Master, Chief Engineer or First-Class Pilot have sailed at least 50 years in an unlimited license capacity with a minimum one voyage per year. (graduate must submit records)
  8. Hall of Distinguished Graduate – recognize and hone graduates who during their chose career after graduation have distinguished themselves and brought credit to the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
  9. Joseph M. Baker ’47 Award – recognizes and honors a member of the 50th Anniversary Homecoming Reunion class who has provided lifelong leadership, service, and dedication to his classmates.
  10. Kenneth A. DeGhetto ’43 Development Award -honors the Founding Chairman of the endowment fund, the Kings Point Challenge, to a graduate, or non-graduate through consistent personal efforts has developed a bases of donors.
  11. Meritorious Alumni Service Award – presented to an anniversary year graduate who best exemplifies the finest tradition of the Corps-Acta Non Verba rendering meritorious services to the USMMA Alumni Association and Foundation.
  12. Outstanding Professional Achievement Award – presented to anniversary year graduate best exemplifying the finest tradition of the Corp- Acta Non Verba by attaining personal achievement in his chosen field thus lending honor and prestige to the Academy, Alumni Foundation and tis midshipmen.
  13. Peter J. Rackett ’61 Lifetime Achievement Award  presented to honor Peter J. Rackett ’61 who was dedicated to the alumni, Kings Point, midshipmen, and its athletic programs for over 30 years and set an example of lifetime financial support. 
  14. RADM Lauren S. McCready – recognizes graduates who are members of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and have made significant contributions technical achievements possible.
  15. Silver Mariner Award– recognizes graduates who as Master, Chief Engineer or First-Class Pilot have sailed at least 25 years in an unlimited license capacity with a minimum one voyage per year. (graduate must submit records)
